Situated on a wedge-shaped lot, this quiet home presents at a fraction of its considerable size, nestled between a mid-century modern home and a more traditional mock Tudor home. The house had its challenges, especially given the jam-packed programmatic requirements: Built for a family of five with children ranging in age from 9 to 15—and all of their accompanying friends—the home was designed to raise kids, with a room for each child, plus a generous subterranean gym and flex space. The chaos of daily life was mitigated with only two exterior materials.
