Willow

It’s always flattering to design a home for another designer – in this case, an Ivy-League-educated interior designer with three small children and a physician husband. A collaborative effort, the design evolved from a specific program that, far from being prescriptive, offered generous creative freedom. Built around a central, exposed concrete staircase, the house creates a versatile open-plan family home on a more intimate Oak Bay lot in an established neighbourhood. Designed to be quiet and unobtrusive, Willow fulfills the design aspirations of both its owners and their designer.
